Student disciplinary records are private student records that are protected by FERPA. If a student wishes to grant access to their record to another person (such as a family member, conduct adviser, attorney, etc.), the student needs to complete a release of information.
To note: There are legal and other circumstances in which a students record may be released without the completion of this form including but not limited to if the information is subpoenaed, if an individual at the institution has a legitimate need to know, or if the student has granted permission for access through another means (such as another institution’s admissions application or through an employment application).
