Iowa State University is committed to hazing prevention through research-informed, campus-wide programs targeting students, staff, and faculty. These programs include training on hazing awareness for students, organization leaders, and advisors, bystander intervention, and encouraging a welcoming and cohesive organizational culture. The Office of Student Engagement provides training for organization leaders and advisors, and Green Dot at Iowa State offers training on bystander intervention.
Concerns of hazing can be reported using the electronic reporting form on this page. Please complete the form sharing as many known details as possible to ensure the Office of Student Conduct is able to conduct a thorough investigation. All allegations of hazing will be addressed through the applicable policies and procedures, as indicated in the Student Code of Conduct (https://www.policy.iastate.edu/policy/SDR).
Reporting Party Information Provided: After a report is submitted, a staff member may follow-up with you regarding the concern you have reported, provide resources, and clarify any vague issues. To the extent possible, reporting party names are kept private in the course of an investigation, but may need to be disclosed during the adjudication process. For questions regarding reporting, please contact the Office of Student Conduct directly.
Anonymous Hazing Submissions: The university will accept and review anonymous submissions. Submissions that are anonymous may limit the university's ability to follow up on the information provided. OSC encourages report submissions to include your name and contact information whenever possible.
In compliance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act, the Office of Student Conduct will maintain and publish a Campus Hazing Transparency Report (CHTR) twice annually. This report will include a summary of substantiated hazing incidents, involved organizations, and student disciplinary findings and outcomes while adhering to applicable privacy laws.
